Students in Ms. Tune’s Science class reviewed their physical science standards with a Christmas themed experiment on States of Matter. Students made “hot cocoa” Ooblek, a substance that acts as a solid and a liquid depending on the pressure applied.
Ms. Pittman and Ms. Cee classes were rewarded with ice cream sundaes for working hard and growing on benchmarks and improving in I-ready.
DES 3rd grader Maggie Wood received a special treat today from Santa’s elf (AP Ms Allen) for showing the most growth on her 2nd 9 weeks’ reading assessment. Congratulations, Maggie! Keep up the good work! 💙

The Student Council sponsored a wreath decorating contest at WVHS. First place went to Mrs. Harris, second place to Coach Sayles, and third place to Ms. Allen. Congratulations!
Water Valley Band student was selected to perform at the Mississippi Band Directors Association Honor Band. Skylar Jordan was able to perform with musicians from all over the state in a fantastic concert on Saturday.
