This is always one of their favorite activities in second year. we appreciate their time and the knowledge learned about their different careers and skills. Cornerstone also allows students to shadow one on one each week for clinical.

WATER VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL Grades 7-12 October Attendance Awareness

Last week DES 3rd-6th graders learned about color value and how to make shades and tints by mixing black and white with a color. They used these skills to make a value scale and a Monochromatic painting.

Turnage pharmacy has allowed Mrs. Hamilton's students each year to shadow there for clinical and learn about pharmacy careers, medication dispensing, different forms of medications, how medications are stored, how to put in patient information in the computer, how to count medications, apply labels, and so much more. Thank you Turnage for supporting our students in the Health Science CTE courses.

After reading The Gingerbread Cowboy, Mrs. Sain’s students designed a gingerbread cowboy of their own.

Volleyball at home today!

Mrs. Dalton's 8th Grade Science Class performed a "Bird Beak Buffet" lab today to simulate h Charles Darwin's Natural Selection Theory. This theory may explain how finches evolved and responded to their particular environment to generate different types of beaks on the Galapagos Islands. Data was recorded and will be analyzed to determine how some finch beaks are better suited for particular islands compared to other finch beaks.

Mrs Bain’s Challenge class students visited Jamie and Linda Scott’s Dancing Bear Sanctuary and Sculpture Park on North Main. They decorated the sidewalks welcoming visitors to the Art Crawl which will be in Water Valley on Saturday night. Thank you to the Scott’s for allowing our students to visit and the WVPD for escorting the students on their walk to and from Davidson!
