This week in our 8th grade science class, students delved into the topic of cell division, specifically mitosis. We engaged in a variety of hands-on activities to enhance their understanding, including: Oreo Model: Students created models of cell structure using Oreos to visually demonstrate the stages of mitosis. Cell Cycle Scavenger Hunt: Utilizing microscopes, students explored real cell samples to identify different phases of the cell cycle. Task Cards: Students worked collaboratively to solve problems and answer questions related to mitosis.

Water Valley School District is currently in the process of changing communication platforms between parents and district employees to SCHOOL STATUS CONNECT. We are no longer using Parent Square as a means of communication. We are in the process of syncing all the data with School Status Connect, so please email your child's teacher or administrator if you aren't properly set up with School Status Connect. Thank you for your patience.
