
Water Valley Band student was selected to perform at the Mississippi Band Directors Association Honor Band. Skylar Jordan was able to perform with musicians from all over the state in a fantastic concert on Saturday.

Ms. Tunes homeroom had their last day of Garden Club for the semester today! We celebrated with a bonfire while cleaning up the garden for the winter. We are so thankful to Ms. Alexe for all the wonderful time spent in the garden this semester. We learned about the world around us, and also how to care for ourselves.

DES had a special visitor Thursday afternoon! Genard Avery, an NFL linebacker who currently plays for the Indianapolis Colts, spent some time with students talking about the importance of education and respecting their teachers. You can watch Genard play against the New York Giants this Sunday.



Early Childhood teacher Ashley Watts and Career Coach Kim Ayers took the WVHS CTE Early Childhood students to tour Northwest Mississippi Community College's Early Childhood Program in Senatobia. Students learned about the program and the career opportunities in the early childhood field.






Seniors Dez Campbell, Ezaryon Riley, Jaxon Ward and Career Coach Kim Ayers toured Northwest Mississippi Community College's Aviation Technology and Precision Manufacturing and Machining Technology programs on Monday, December 2. The students learned the admission requirements for each program and were able to ask value questions that will help choose the best education path for them.





Mrs. Jacks's students recently wrapped up their Newton's laws of motion unit with an exciting egg drop challenge! 🥚 The students were tasked with building a contraption that would safely protect an egg from cracking when dropped from various heights.
The students applied their understanding of Newton's laws to design and construct creative and innovative solutions. Some used bubble wrap, others used foam, and some even used shopping sacks for parachutes.








Festive times at WVHS. Student Council began the 10 days of Christmas! Students were given ornaments to decorate our tree.

DES hosts MATH NIGHT!


Ms. Tunes students worked in groups to create their own trapeze circus model. Students used the model trapezes to explore gravity and motion patterns. Students made predictions based on observed patterns. Students explored how weight on the trapeze affected the motion.
