On Tuesday, December 12th, a team of local business professionals donated their time to participate in a Writing Gallery Walk at DES. The team was given a copy of the MS informative writing standards for grades K-6 in order to see the progression in level of difficulty through the grade levels. Beginning at the kindergarten classrooms, the team looked at writing from all students in grades K-6. Student representatives from each class met with the team and answered questions about the writing process and what they had learned about their topics.
