Water Valley School District is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Kellie Logan as Director of Special Education.
Dr. Logan brings extensive experience in educational leadership, a proven record of program development, and a deep commitment to student success.
Superintendent Drew Pitcock stated, “ We are excited to welcome Dr. Logan back to the Blue Devil family. Her expertise will be a strong asset and will directly benefit the students of our district.”
Dr. Logan has more than nine years of district-level leadership experience in special education and has served in key roles focused on improving outcomes for students with diverse learning needs. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi and has led initiatives centered on instructional improvement, compliance, and inclusive practices. Her work has included overseeing special programs, managing large-scale budgets, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and strengthening systems that ensure high-quality services for all students.
Known for her collaborative leadership style, Dr. Logan has a strong track record of building meaningful partnerships with educators, families, and community stakeholders. She is passionate about creating supportive environments where both students and staff can thrive and is committed to fostering a culture of excellence throughout the district.
Dr. Logan shared, “I’m excited to return to Water Valley and work alongside educators who are committed to doing what’s best for students. My focus is simple—build strong systems, support teachers, and ensure every student has access to the opportunities and services they need to be successful.”
She and her husband, Eddie, and their son, Sutton, are excited to become part of the Water Valley community.
