Dr. Bonnie Keene

Water Valley School District is proud to announce Dr. Bonnie Keene as the new principal of Davidson Elementary School.

Dr. Keene has served in education since 2008. She joined the Water Valley School District in 2018 as a math teacher and was named Teacher of the Year in 2023. Her students have consistently performed among the top in the state on state assessments.

She has served the past two years as assistant principal at Davidson Elementary. Her teaching assignments over the years include Grenada High School, Florida Virtual School, Osceola Virtual School in Florida, Celebration High School in Florida, and Water Valley High School.

Dr. Keene holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Delta State University, a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Mississippi, a Specialist in Education from Florida Atlantic University, and a Ph.D. in Education from Florida Atlantic University.

She is certified in Administration, Math, ELA, SREB Math, Special Education, English as a Second Language, and Spanish.

Dr. Keene lives in Water Valley with her three children. Her two oldest, Jakobe and Isabella, are Pre-K students at Davidson Elementary.
